STRENGTHENING OUR SERVICE IN THE FOOD SEGMENT
As you may already know, at Grup Barcelonesa we specialise in the management, distribution and storage of chemical products. But we are not only dedicated to this type of products.
We also operate in other industrial sectors such as construction, livestock, metallurgy… and food.
In this last sector, we offer an integral service of distribution, mixing, packaging, labelling, storage and transport of all types of ingredients and food additives.
All this under our brand “Barcelonesa Food Solutions”.
By having new facilities, we aim to:
- Strengthen the food sector of Grup Barcelonesa.
- Expand our range of solutions for the food industry.
- Adapt to the requirements of our customers.
- To provide a better service.
For all these reasons, during the course of this year, we will be setting up a new logistics and production centre in Parets del Vallès.
OUR LOGISTICS WAREHOUSE IN PARETS DEL VALLÈS
This recent investment comes as a result of the growth we have experienced in the food sector,
To give you an idea, these are some of the characteristics of what will soon be our new food plant:
- Newly built 6,660 square metre logistics warehouse.
- Concrete structure with sandwich-type roof.
- It will be specialised to cover everything related to logistics and the handling of food additives and ingredients.
- Located in the Sector Autopista industrial estate.
- 5,685 m² of space will be used for warehousing.
- 975 m² will be set aside for offices.
- The yard will cover an area of 5,000 m².
The facilities are in the construction phase, but are expected to be up and running in the near future. The procedures are well underway and the new platform is almost a reality.
AN IDEAL PLACE TO OPERATE THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY
As you have been able to see, the characteristics of the warehouse are perfect for housing everything related to our activity.
Moreover, it is in a privileged location: the Sector Autopista industrial estate, which is an area particularly renowned for its good road and public transport connections and is located 30 km from Barcelona’s port and airport.
From there, it is possible to move quickly to the city of Barcelona and its metropolitan area.
In addition, you can also have direct access to the C-17 road and the AP-7 motorway (the well-known Mediterranean motorway that connects the entire Spanish Mediterranean coast from the French border to Guadiaro, in Cadiz).
It is also connected to several intercity bus lines and the Renfe train services (specifically the R3 line).
