Barcelonesa FoodTech was present at FoodTech Barcelona 2018 held on 8, 9, 10 and 11 May at Gran Vía de Fira in Barcelona. The new commitment to the food division of Barcelonesa, focused on offering a comprehensive solution for the food industry, led to its new range of texturisers with its 3 brands adapted to market trends: Carratext, Protean and Fibrean.
We also took advantage of our presence at this event to present our range of low sodium salts, a product with excellent organoleptic results, similar to common salt, in sodium reductions from -50%.
The fair, focusing this year on the life cycle of the food product, from the ingredient to the equipment and technologies used, saw the participation of approximately 1,100 exibitors in 30 different countries. Sustainability and digitisation of the food industry were the major topics characterising the joint edition of Hispack (the food packaging Fair) and FoodTech Barcelona, which has registered 5% more visitors than in the last edition in 2015, according to data from Fira Barcelona.
For Barcelonesa, it was its first edition and the opportunity to present its products and establish contacts that generate beneficial agreements and/or business for our activity in the sector.
The next edition of FoodTech Barcelona will be held in October 2020 under the name Alimentaria FoodTech, which will look to reinforce its positioning on the international calendar and gather the most complete supply of the agricultural industry’s value chain.
A new appointment where we hope to participate again and thereby bring new proposals that improve the qualities of food products.
